The Order of the Starcross of Lightning was formed by ShadowDarkFyre on his eighteenth birthday, in an effort to revive the tradition and the legacy of the little-known world of the paladin: knights and warriors blessed with the power to fight against the forces of evil and to defend the innocent and the good: both 'normal' and mystick peoples alike. As the Lord fought for all when He died at the Battle of Golgotha, so does the paladin follow His example and stand for others who cannot stand for themselves.

Believing that palidinal orders began to fade dangerously with the approach of progress and the modern-day, ShadowDarkFyre - then known in the Order as Defender the Guardian - formed the Order of the Starcross of Lightning to try and revive this lost legacy, which is believed by the Order to have been last practised in spirit by Joan of Arc: seen as the first 'Knight-Warrior' and their forerunner. She is the closest the Order will come to having a patron saint, and her Chapel - now located on the Marquette University campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - is the sacred place of the Order


Joan Of Arc: found gulty of being a witch and was sentenced to be burnt to death at the stake in Rouen in 1431 at the age of 19.

Since the date of its founding, the Order has been fine-tuned and has fluctuated in its membership, but it has survived to this day: claiming only four members.

Presently, the Order and its members are affiliated with the micronational project known as the Domain and Realms: having also been founded by ShadowDarkFyre. It is hoped by the Order that its presence within the Domain will encourage others of differing faiths to form palidinal orders of their own, and thus help bring back a little at a time the way of the Paladin.
